Dark Turquoise Ceramic Bowl Gunnar Nylund Rörstrand Mid 20th Century

A bowl with a stunning dark turquoise/ green/blue color. The bowl is designed early in the 1940s by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand, the bowl is 14 cm (5,6") in diameter and it is 7.5 cm (3") high. It is in excellent condition except from a minor glazing mark on the inside.

It is marked as 1st quality. Gunnar Nylund is born in Paris but moved to Denmark and started to work at Bing & Gröndahl porcelain factory in Denmark and after that he started Saxbo ceramics in Denmark and worked there for many years. Gunnar Nylund is represented at a several Swedish and international museums.

He is one of the most well know ceramicists in Scandinavia during the 20th century.
